Paula Phelps was promoted to Director of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. Paula graduated from the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program in 1995 and completed her Master’s in Health Education at Idaho State University in 2000. Her clinical experience is in family practice & OB/GYN. Phelps was hired by the ISU PA Program in 1995. She holds the distinction of being the first physician assistant to be appointed to the Idaho State Board of Medicine in 2019.
